There are almost 70% animal(include insects) active at the night for food. In Taman Negara, we have a night walk activity through a short trail from Mutiara Resort into Tahan Hide which will focus on insects and reptiles, watch wildlife from Bumbun Hide. The most common insects we will find along the trail are stick insect, mantis, cricket, spider...... Some of the insects are poisonous, such as bird eating spider and cave centipede(showed in the picture). They have wood like skin, easily camouflage with the tree so that they can hunt the prey without knowing. Although we are not the prey of insects, but we must be careful during night walk. Dont lay against the tree or hold the brunch to prevent bitten by poisonous insects.
However, some of them are harmless just like giant millipedes, mantis and stick insects.
